Priscilla has performed with Canada's top musicians and big bands - Peter Appleyard, Mart Kenney, Moxie Whitney and Eddie Graf, working at the top venues.

With her million-selling single Man In A Raincoat, Priscilla Wright, as a child, became the youngest Canadian, before or since, to have an international hit song. It also was the first Canadian record by a female to become an international hit. While topping the Billboard and Cash Box charts, Cash Box Magazine featured her on its cover and voted Priscilla 'Most Promising Vocalist'.

As a young pop star, Priscilla's status gained her appearances on many of North America's top variety and talk shows, including The Ed Sullivan Show. She also appeared in a documentary film and performed several concerts with the legendary Elvis Presley. Her sudden rise to fame then resulted in the signing of a multi-year film and recording contract with 20th Century Fox. However, parental concern for Priscilla's well being soon forced a hiatus for the young pop star.

In the mid-1980's, Priscilla was drawn back to her passion for singing. Priscilla began performing at festivals and theatres all over the world with many jazz bands and big bands.

ManInARaincoat_centerIn 1985, Priscilla recorded the Michael Bolton song Heartbeat, which reached No. 8 on the Canadian National Chart. This was followed by the John Jones - penned Say You'll Stay Forever which received high recommendations from Billboard.

In 1988, Priscilla Wright became the first Canadian singer to re-record a hit and have it top the charts a second time. This new version of Man In a Raincoat hit No. 8 and spent 18 weeks on the Canadian National Chart - thereby bringing a second first to her name!

In the 1990's, Priscilla's series of sold-out symphony performances, including with the Toronto Pops Orchestra at Massey Hall and the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra at Hamilton Place - with such conductors as Boris Brott and Howard Cable - all garnered critical acclaim.

In 1992, Priscilla recorded her first album, When You Love Somebody, which spawned three singles and led to Priscilla's 1993 Juno Award nomination.

She has been performing at theatres, conventions and jazz festivals, including the main stage of the Montreal Jazz Festival and with top bands such as Peter Appleyard and his Swing Fever Band.

In 2000, Priscilla was chosen as vocalist for a new Mart Kenney Big Band CD, recorded in Vancouver with the finest musicians. Rave reviews included such comments as: "The sultry, yet coy vocals of Priscilla Wright add a complex elegance making this a magical event for player and listener alike."

HER NEWEST CD - "The Singer And The Song"
Priscilla's passionate, clear voice of pure heart-felt emotion has moved many listeners over the years. Her newest CD, "The Singer And The Song" has been touted for the warm and swinging jazz treatment of timeless standards. In late 2003, the CD was released in the United States and has been receiving airplay from coast to coast, as well as rave reviews in U.S. Jazz publications.

The well-respected Cadence jazz magazine in its November 2003 issue praised the album, calling it "absolutely Grade A cabaret Jazz" and described Priscilla as "Powerfully Wonderful!" It was also the top pick for May 2004 by Jazz Canadiana. They wrote: "She has a voice that is soft and warm and sings with a deep sense of conviction and imagination that seldom fails to capture the listener's attention."
