Biography

L-R: Derek Rothwell-Kerr, Michael Scott Sanders, Brett Stacy & Steve Sinclair (RIP).

Dyoxen was formed in 1989 by guitarist/vocalist Michael Sanders. Eventually a lineup stabilized long enough to record an album, but by the time the album was released, the lineup had already changed. Thus, the lineup below is the actual recording lineup, not the touring lineup listed on the album (Sanders/Kerr/Steve Sinclair/Bret Stacey). First Among Equals' complex, tempo-change-filled thrash style won the band some good reviews, but the album was not promoted well and failed to sell, and coupled with the band members moving apart both musically and personally, spelled the end for the band. Sanders now heads a metal/funk/percussion group entitled OneTribe.
