About This Title

Pianist Bley is with Mario Pavone on bass and Barry Altschul on drums. This powerful trio recording was done in December, 1968, featuring the compositions of US-born Annette Peacock (I'm The One, X-Dreams…). Montreal-native Bley has quite the jazz pedigree having performed with a who's who of the genre including Dave Pike, Sonny Rollins, Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry, Bill Evans, Charlie Mingus, Don Ellis, Rashied Ali, Paul Motian, Milford Graves, and many more. This RCI session is a terrific LP end-to-end.

Players: Paul Bley, Mario Pavone & Barry Altschul.
