Information/Write-up
ONCE AGAIN Columbia Records takes pride in presenting a new album by that very talented young Canadian pianist Bill Butler. A long awaited wish of Bill’s is fulfilled in that he is presented for the first time with a large orchestra. Bill not only plays the solo piano but also did the arranging and conducting on this album, resulting in the perfect blending of talent and music.
The songs, mostly standard, are given a fresh treatment by Bill, and the orchestra moves in mood from the sweeping “Autumn Concerto” to Paris in “Idol of Paris” and from studio hits as the award winning “Love Is A Many Splendored Thing”, “Ruby” and the beautiful “Chopin’s Nocturne”, “Our Love Affair”, the title tune, to memories of “I’ll Remember April”, “An Affair to Remember”, “My Foolish Heart” and other unforgettable “My Heart Stood Still” and “Where Or When.”
Bill Butler, besides making many concert appearances on Canadian Television and radio, is heard on Toronto Radio Station CKEY, in personal appearances from Toronto’s beautiful Pump Room, and has made many appearances on the Arthur Godfrey and Dave Garroway Shows.
By the way Bill also designed the cover and tells us that the charming model is known only as B.J.
