Information/Write-up

Bruce Miller is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose work spans folk, rock, and country genres. In the mid-1970s, he released Rude Awakening, co-produced by David Foster and Gaye De Lorme, featuring contributions from notable musicians such as Tom Scott, Rusty Young, Airto Moreira, Lee Sklar, and Jim Keltner. The album showcased Miller's talents as a vocalist and instrumentalist, blending acoustic guitar and fiddle with rich arrangements.

In 1982, Miller released Magic Night, an album that continued to highlight his songwriting and musical versatility. The record featured a roster of accomplished Canadian musicians, including Marc LaFrance (drums, backing vocals), Don Cummings (bass), Brent Shindell, Lindsay Mitchell, and Bruce Miller himself on guitars, Dave Pickell (keyboards), Robbie King (organ), and Jim Rothermel (saxophone, piccolo flute). The album was produced by Claire Lawrence and Lindsay Mitchell, engineered by Bob Rock, Brian Campbell, Beverly and John Beverly Jones, Paul Northfield, and Tim Garrity, and recorded at Little Mountain Sound Studios, A&M Studios, and Blue Wave Recording Studios. It was mixed at Le Studio.

Beyond his solo work, Miller has contributed to the music industry as a songwriter, co-writing songs for prominent country artists such as Reba McEntire and the Dixie Chicks.
