Information/Write-up

You can run from the country...

...but Country will find you in its own good time! I'm sure that's not true for everyone, but that's what happened to me. I grew up in Country country: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. I heard Country Music all around me and took it for granted. I thought it was nothing special. I ran away from it whenever I could. Fast forward to Montréal, Trevor Williams basketball camp, in a gym in St-Henri.

What's basketball got to do with it? Well, I was discussing with a friend how we could move portable basketball nets to the space behind the gym. I suggested a half ton truck. "What the heck is that?" demanded Bob. I had to explain, and thought it would make a good title for a song. Three years later the song finally met up with the title, and the rest is history.

How come I made a Country album if I hated Country Music? If the answer to this question intrigues you, check out the "Story Of The Album". The tale is pretty good - at least I think you'll find it interesting and amusing. I guess there's one way to find out if you think I'm right...

Check the "Songs" for lyrics, short MP3 samples, and lead sheets. "Bio" will give you some more info about me and my peculiarities. The "Discography" has a list of my other albums, and my video.

Enjoy. And drop me a line if you'd like to buy a CD, or just to say "Hi!".

Oh yeah, a special thanks goes out to Michel Cusson for lending me all those old country music albums. Thanks Michel!
