Information/Write-up

History
Histry is perhaps the most difficult of my albums, from many perspectives. First, I promised myself to make a totally acoustic, non-programmed album, and that was quite a challenge for this computerized man. Second, some of the songs are almost too personal -- the title song, my answer to Bob Marley's "Redemption Song", apologizes for all the things my ancestors did to the world, but tries to explain that it really wasn't me, and can we please move on?

Joe Pacheco played guitar again, on "For Elyce", and one of my most unusual friends, Ernst "Junior" Cadet, sang backup vocals and played percussion on "Kingdom Come".

Notably, the cover photos were taken by Peter Patrick. I can't imagine the ablum without them.

Finally, thanks to Michael Golden who encouraged me to keep on doing this album -- there were times I wasn't sure I wanted to, so his positive criticisms and suggestions are part of the fabric of "History".
