Information/Write-up

Caroline Bernier is a multi-talented Canadian artist whose career has spanned the worlds of music, fashion, television, and global empowerment. Born in Laval, Québec, Bernier first gained recognition in the late 1970s as a disco vocalist under the guidance of renowned Montreal producer Tony Green, the creative force behind Geraldine Hunt, Freddie James, and France Joli. While her 1977 self-titled album never reached the commercial heights of her labelmates, it has since become a cult classic among disco collectors, largely due to the standout tracks “Love (I Don’t Wanna Hear About It)” and the epic 16-minute suite “Secret Agent Love.”

The album was recorded at Studio Marko, orchestrated by Denis LePage (of Lime fame), and featured Caroline not only as lead vocalist but also as co-writer and backing singer on several cuts. Its blend of lush orchestration, dancefloor energy, and soulful performance quietly cemented her status as a hidden gem of the Montréal disco scene. Though overlooked at the time, the album has found new appreciation in recent decades, particularly among European and Japanese disco archivists.

But music was just the beginning. Caroline Bernier pivoted from the microphone to the runway and boardroom, building a remarkable career in the international fashion and entertainment industry. As founder of Beauty World Search and the visionary behind the global casting and reality series The Fashion Hero, Bernier has directed, choreographed, and produced over 500 international fashion events, including work for Miss Universe, Victoria’s Secret, and Hawaiian Tropic. Through these platforms, she has advocated for body positivity, inclusivity, and authentic self-esteem, challenging narrow beauty standards and helping aspiring models from 80+ countries break into the industry on their own terms.

Grounded by her Montreal roots and the influence of her opera-singing father and nurturing mother, Bernier has described her mission as a “calling.” Her message is one of transformation: "If my dreams don’t scare me, they’re not big enough," she says—a reflection of her drive to reshape not only her own destiny but the future of the industries she inhabits.

Today, Caroline Bernier’s legacy straddles two worlds: a disco-era cult artist and a trailblazing force in global fashion empowerment. Beautiful inside and out, she continues to inspire across generations.
