Louis Bannet

Holland born Louis Bannet (1911-2002), an Auschwitz holocaust survivor and European jazz legend known as the "Dutch Louis Armstrong" , emigrated to Canada and settled in Montreal in 1957, where the self-taught violinist and horn player recorded a handful of albums in the 60's that spanned jazz, traditional folk and Christmas carols.
