Marc Gélinas

Joseph Édouard Yves André Gélinas
Canadian (Québec) singer-songwriter and actor born November 28, 1937 in Montréal and died October 2, 2001 in Sainte-Agathe. He began writing songs at 14 but at first sang those of Francis Lemarque and Joseph Kosma. He studied singing at the Conservatoire De Musique Du Québec à Montréal with Roger Filiatrault and Martial Singher in 1954-5.
His father was the bass Gérard Gélinas (born April 11, 1907, died March 2, 1965 in Montréal). His daughter is Anne-Marie Gélinas.
