Step into the weird and wonderful. Canadian Oddities is a collection of the most offbeat, obscure, and delightfully strange recordings ever to surface in the Great White North. From outsider artists and vanity pressings to unclassifiable genre mashups and one-of-a-kind curiosities, this room celebrates the creative misfits and musical wild cards who coloured outside the lines. Oddball? Absolutely. Unforgettable? Always.
Good choice. Here's 3 more: 1) the D-Drifters 5, which is Beatles covers sung in Ukrainian. 2) Offenbach's "Soap Opera", with a die-cut cover that folds out into... a soap box. 3) My favourite oddity: Yank Barry's "The Diary of Mr. Gray" - consisting of a stereo LP, a quadraphonic LP, a 10" 78rpm mono disc, and a bunch of other stuff (papers etc.) I believe that one of the guys from Stone Circus was in this band. Can anyone top that?
