Liner notes
Although relatively a new group to the recording scene the individuals of “The Morning Light” from Sussex, N.B. have a very wide and varied musical background, being influenced by the country, hard and light rock, soul and popular music fields, both past and present, they project their ideas and feelings about the problems of today in a way that both young and old can feel and understand as well as appreciate.

The choral and voice arrangements can solely be credited to the harmonic effects of Jeannie Richard, Donna Snyder and the dynamic young voice of Jimmy Jewkes, as well as the distinctive rock vocal sounds of Noble Pollock.

The enriched backup sounds are tied together by Bobby J. Crawford on lead guitar (also leader of the group), Frank Crawford on bass guitar, Richard Crawford on drums, Walter Friars on rhythm guitar and Noble Pollock on the organ.
Television appearances and radio debuts are nothing new to the individuals in the Morning Light, who have travelled extensively in the Maritimes, Newfoundland and Ontario as well as Nashville, Tenn.

The record “People’s Roses” realizes the composing abilities of “The Morning Light’s” Jeannie Richard, Jimmy Jewkes, Bob and Richard Crawford and Walter Friars having written all the numbers with a very distinctive and realistic picture of life’s problems.
