Bootleg was a popular prairies group; the label felt fortunate with this liaison. The label believed that if a well-rounded stable of artists could be developed (and proven as viable airplay/sales commodities), so could Heart Records - and thus acquire the financial backing the label badly needed to compete on a 'world stage'.
Recorded in Vancouver at Total Sounds Studios, label friends Guy Sobell and Laurie Wallace led the recording production. Side B was an 'extended' version of Side A, and as expected, the single faired well on Rock FM and Campus Radio and though it hit a few Top 40 stations, it failed to climb the Canadian Top 40 as the label had hoped.
