Insight

The Neon Philharmonic was originally an American orchestral psych-pop project from Nashville, Tennessee, centred on songwriter, keyboardist, and conductor Tupper Saussy and vocalist/producer Don Gant. The group’s main catalogue was recorded for Warner Bros. in 1969 and later compiled on the 2003 Rhino Handmade set Brilliant Colors: The Complete Warner Bros. Recordings.

The Canadian connection appears in the mid-1970s, when the Neon Philharmonic name was used for a later Canadian-associated release phase on London Records in Canada. These singles featured material connected to Ray Williams and Ron Demmans, with production by David Kastle for Hickory Records Inc.
