Insight

The Grammy-nominated ensemble Yiddish Glory has announced their long-awaited new album: The Silenced Songs of World War II — a powerful follow-up to their acclaimed 2018 debut that brought lost wartime Yiddish music back from the brink of oblivion.
Where The Lost Songs recovered fragments of Jewish life under Nazi occupation, The Silenced Songs deepens that excavation, unearthing fifteen more testimonies — camp songs, lullabies, elegies, and fierce protest — written by Jewish Red Army soldiers, ghetto survivors, and refugees across Ukraine, Moldova, and beyond. These are words that the war tried to erase. This album refuses to let it.
